Twenty-two startups and small businesses across New South Wales will receive more than $1 million in funding to help turn innovative ideas into new products, jobs, and business growth.
The funding comes through the second round of the MVP Ventures Program for 2025-26. The program supports businesses as they move from early ideas and prototypes into commercial products.
The funded projects focus on key areas including housing, advanced manufacturing, clean energy, and health technology. They aim to solve practical challenges and strengthen innovation across the state.
The program helps startups and small businesses overcome the gap between research and commercial success. It provides support to improve products, attract investment, and bring new solutions to market.
Successful projects include new technologies for sustainable farming, electric transport, affordable housing, and medical care.
Examples of supported businesses include:
- A technology company developing ultrasonic solutions to improve fish health and productivity in aquaculture.
- A clean technology business creating electric conversion kits for petrol-powered jet skis.
- An advanced manufacturing company developing modular housing solutions that aim to build homes faster and at lower costs.
- A medical technology company developing a less invasive skin cancer testing method.
The funding also supports businesses in regional areas and helps create opportunities across different communities.

Applications for the next funding round are currently being reviewed, with successful recipients expected to be announced later this year.
