AgTech Showcase to Bring Global Innovation Back to Victoria

Victoria will host one of the world’s leading agriculture and innovation events in 2026. The evokeAG conference will return to Melbourne for the first time since 2020.

More than 2,000 delegates from around 20 countries will attend. Over 50 startups will join to present new ideas and technologies shaping the future of farming. The two-day event will highlight global trends in food production, sustainability, and digital agriculture.

The showcase reflects Victoria’s growing role in agricultural technology. More than $15 million has been invested in AgTech innovation through Agriculture Victoria. This includes $2 million to help 40 local startups develop tools for supply chain efficiency, farm automation, soil monitoring, and pollination systems.

The Hugh Victor McKay Fund has supported four companies working on new farming solutions. The CivVic Labs program has helped 20 startups refine ideas to improve farm safety and circular agriculture. One of the supported businesses, Yield-X, shared how investment helped its success during the launch event.

Research and testing also take place across Victoria’s SmartFarm network. Technologies such as virtual fencing are being trialed to study benefits for pasture management and animal welfare.

Victoria’s agriculture and food sectors continue to lead the nation in exports, reaching $20 billion in value six years ahead of schedule. Strong demand for technology-driven food production is helping open new global markets.

EvokeAG 2026 will showcase these innovations and highlight Victoria’s place as a global hub for AgTech development and collaboration.
