A major innovation event has highlighted the strength of small businesses and researchers across New South Wales, showing how new ideas are being turned into jobs, investment and practical solutions.
The NSW Commercialisation Showcase, now in its third year, brought together leaders from government, industry and universities to demonstrate how research and technology are moving from the laboratory into real-world applications.
The event featured around 750 participants and highlighted businesses working across key areas, including:

Research and innovation networks are also helping connect businesses, researchers and industry partners. These networks focus on areas such as smart sensing, defence technology, medical research and space innovation.
Strong interest in innovation support programs shows growing demand from businesses looking to develop new technologies. One major funding program received more than 250 applications, showing the depth of innovation activity across the state.
The event demonstrated the growing number of businesses developing solutions with potential economic and community benefits. Support programs aim to help local companies expand, compete internationally and create future industries.
